Plot

A 1950s showbiz star, trapped inside a television set, crashes down to earth. A frightened but probing indigenous farmer saves her. Deep into the night, the two try their best to engage each other. But glitches, language differences, and the offensive political incorrectness of 1950s TV all get in the way.

Carla Pulido Ocampo

Carla Pulido Ocampo is a filmmaker and cultural worker residing in the indigenous territory of Bontoc, in the mountainous region of the Philippine Cordilleras. Her filmography centers on the culture and lore of the indigenous Bontok Igorot people. She is writer, researcher, and editor for the seminal documentary Walang Rape sa Bontok, and is the editor, writer and director of the short film Tokwifi, which won the Special Jury Prize at the 7th QCinema International Film Festival in 2019, and the NETPAC Jury Prize and Best Film honors at the 16th Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival in 2020.
